Our MISSION
We recognize that addressing other issues faced by homeless individuals is nearly impossible while they remain on the streets. We focus on securing housing first, allowing people to stabilize their lives and then address other challenges. Our mission is to provide food, clothing and shelter to those in need and, importantly, provide guidance to ultimately allow individuals to be more self-sufficient.
Who we are
Linda and Friends Helping Hands sprung from a grassroots group of volunteers committed to making a difference in the homeless community of Lansdale PA under the leadership of Linda Rowland. Linda has worked tirelessly since 2020 to feed, clothe, and shelter the homeless and to connect them to various community resources such that they could be more self-sufficient.

Recognizing that the root causes of homelessness are often tied to the lack of a stable address, the team adopted a "Housing First" approach. This strategy prioritizes securing permanent housing for individuals, enabling them to stabilize their lives and subsequently address other challenges that are nearly impossible to overcome while living on the streets.
To be able to reach more donors and help more people, Linda and Friends Helping Hands was formed and registered in the state of Pennsylvania as a nonprofit corporation and with the IRS as a 501(c)(3). All donations back to February 21, 2024 are tax deductible. The mission of the corporation is to provide food, clothing and shelter to those in need and, importantly, provide guidance to ultimately allow these individuals to be more independent.
